Perhaps we should send a task force to Greece. In order to seize Greek state assets as collateral to protect against a Greek government default on their debts.

Edit: To answer the OP's question, it took Labour 13 years to get the country into the mess. So I reckon 13 years is enough time for the Tories to get it out of it properly.

Only problem they won't have 13 years

As it stands I can't see current Govt getting re-elected.

There has hardly been any cutting. The country is still borrowing £15B a month. The morons in charge have realised that the main priority is to win the next election which means keep the public sector gravy train speeding along and win another term by keeping them happy.
Vote Corbyn ! Save this country !

What about the ones before the last lot etc etc?

Thatcher started this whole mess by destroying industry and deregulating finance, every government that followed thought it was working until very recently.
Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave Johnson

But they have done just enough tentative and nervous cutting to give Labour a stick to beat them with and irritate and worry every public service worker.

Very much like brushing against a nettle with the back of your hand, and be stung, because you lack the bottle to grab it tightly, which wouldn't sting so much if at all.

What are you lot moaning about anyway?

You made good money under New Labour, your property portfolio went up 800%.

And there's still tonnes of money making opportunities out there, BTL is booming and IT work is still well paid and plentyful.

Seems to me the problem is that money is being held and accumulated by the rich, and there needs to be a way to get them to spend it or to part them from it, rather than trying to make them richer. Trouble is, the rich makes the rules.

And he should have cut red tape.
                    He should have resigned immediately!

It took labour 13 years to destroy a deficit and spend everything they could find and more, and thats not including the stupid PFI terms that they built tonnes of crap with that by todays building standards half of it will have fallen down while we are still trying to pay for it...

I agree that we have not had the best government of late mainly due to the fact that Cameron doesn't have the balls to call an election and wipe the Lib dems out.

But if the UK really has got support amongst the voters that think its a good idea to let that little turd Gromet (a.k.a Milliband) back in the door to finish the job that his feckwit mates started then I think its time to go back to voting by land owners only.
