Would you interview a numpty who has done some quick basic programming and has applied for advanced C# programming ? You know, to have some kind of competition.

I think Harry is definately in the same league with Roy, if anything he is ahead but in any case FA could have gotten somebody foreign to provide at least illusion of choice - competition is always good and exclusive talks are bad.

Managers' records, experience and modus operandi are open for all to see. For better or for worse the FA have headhunted Hodgson.

How would interviewing Redknapp or anyone else have made Hodgson a better manager?

Good decision. Rednapp's won nowt and no experience. Seem to remember the same hysteria when Keegan was appointed by the press and proved a total bedwetter.
I agree (although Harry did win an FA Cup).

England won't do very well regardless of who is manager for many reasons, so it doesn't make a lot of difference who the manager is.

The only chink of light is that, unlike all previous tournaments England have been in, this one seems to be starting in semi-chaos, and that often has a positive effect.

They're a 3rd rate team under the manager. The players are solidly 2nd rate.

See you at Euro 2012. Hopefully, we're proven wrong. At least a better debate than any on contracting that I'm excluded from

                    I've been there. No problem.

Also watched England all over the world playing cricket

Best was Sri Lanka - drinking all day and didn't need to turn the bike around due to the excess heat etc

This is absolutly correct. I'd have liked to have seen Ian Holloway given the job. We're not going to win it anyway, but with him in charge it would have been entertaining.
