Ok. Come on. How does it work?

How do you get this random +1000 rep thing that two more posters have got? Is their fawning required to Admin(Eek it's your queue) or is there something more sinister going on?

It's looking like a bent lottery now.

As usual, just a cock up on my part. I put my rep score of 1,000 back on so that I could put your rep back to where it was before I neg repped you. Pleb that I am I forgot to put it back to my usual score (20) and repped a couple of people before you so kindly pointed it out.

As I said in my lengthy bed-wetting post, I have changed the rep scores so that everyone passes a relatively low rep score, nobody will get the ability to pass large rep points simply by having a high post count or getting a high rep score.

I did ask admin if I could buy some - and got slapped around for not using rep "properly". And threatened that all the rep I had given would be removed as I was gaming the system.

Now I only give rep to posts that I particularly like or are helpful. Or my rep power will be set to zero or something.

Majority of your comments are "random brillo rep" - and you confirmed to me that you are simply treating it as a game as I had thought, so removing your ability to pass rep seemed fair enough to me. I will get around to removing all of these rep comments this week I expect.

It's a rigged game now so I've not been paying any attention to it. I don't however object to nluk being at no 1 he probably should be there.

As for joining a queue I don't see the point. If admin wants to give me 1000 or 10000 points I won't complain. If he doesn't I equally won't complain.

I just wanted rep to be used sensibly that is all, no rigging to it, just trying to remove the inequality from the system. You know as well as I do that both in General and the business forums there is some really good advice given out and all I want is that those who are giving helpful advice are shown some appreciation on here so that the n00bs have some idea as to who is trustworthy on here and who isn't.

I got neg repped by NLUK and it added 3 points Huzzah!

What's the point in having a system or rules you cannot bend, abuse or game? At this rate they'll be expecting us to obey the rules!! How absurd is that!

No didn't break the server or cause a problem from that POV, just that it looked fugly

I've seen other VB fora where you can see how many thanks each member has doled out...
