I used to think like this. But everyone has a breaking point. If a society (edit: and its agents) denies efficient workers jobs, yet rewards the politicians and bankers who got us into this mess, then the ethical case against stealing from the big boys becomes to look weaker. Just an opinion.

LIke last summers' riots when people looted to upgrade from Adidas to Nike? I am sure they all had the full support of our brothers in Syria.

So seriously - I agree with your point. But the breaking point should come alot further down the line. Like unable to vote or eat.

I accidently stole something the other week and the staff was complicit

I got a "unexpected item in bagging area" error and called over the staff member who cleared it for me.
Only after she had gone did I realise that the bag of celery sticks I'd dropped in last hadn't actually scanned
