There's a few on the same lines...Originally posted by psychocandy View PostSounds like exactly the same thing I've got. Wasnt TimeforYou franchise was it?
It wasn't T4U - I had my own, not a franchise - I acquired the knowledge...
Good business, apart from cleaners - also VERY boring.
Basically you do a set of tasks.... wash rinse repeat - forever...

Thread title? Cleaners aren't on low pay.
Candy, with respect, this whole thread confuses me. It seems as if some don't have a grip on what the market is like.
Cleaners are extremely well paid, better paid than nurses, firefighters, graduate IT engineers, etc etc.
Up north at the moment, a cleaner that will do their job and be reliable, will charge £20 +. The ones that charge less wave a duster around but don't clean properly or spend more time drinking cups of tea than cleaning.
Cleaning and home care is an extremely lucrative market, which makes the thread title and subject utterly pointless.
People on truly low pay, like your average shop assistant or street sweeper, generally have the best attitudes of people I have seen. They arent arrogant and for the most part, happy in what they do while they suffer a lot of abuse from society.
I think you meant to start a thread along the line of:
Attitude of people on high pay !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ugghh, project managers, cleaners, corporate managers, solicitors, etc, why do they all have such a bad attitude?
Seriously, managers who will turn up for a couple of hours work or a solicitor that will act like an ass, as if you are bothering him even though you are paying through the nose for their service. What the hell is wrong with these people? Why are they so lazy and have massive chips on their shoulders?Comment

What's that got to do with it.Originally posted by AtW View PostDo you get paid just above minimum wage to clean stuff?

I have been encouraging my granddaughter to go to college.
But she wants everything in style, not realising that when she is in she is out.
I tried to point out the basic fact that if that was her attitude, then she would not mean a single thing without, those handbags and those gladrags, that I had to sweat so hard to buy.
Of course, when I found out that she missed school today, I decided to suggest to her (asap) that she just throws them all away,
the items in question being those handbags and those gladrags, that I had to sweat so hard to buy her

If all that's important about you are the things that you own, and those things are taken away, what is left for anyone to care about?Originally posted by d000hg View PostWhat's that got to do with it.
