Tough call, generally I am supportive of people seeking genuine asylum for political reasons from scumbags in their own countries, however accepting asylum in such case should automatically come with certain obligations and general gratitute - it does not strike me that he appreciates all the taxpayer money spent on him to keep him away from torturers.

On a basic level - you can't expect protection from torturers and fight against people who protect you at the same time. I'd put them on the first plane there and let him pursue his legal case from his own country without UK taxpayer supporting him anymore.

Because he's a mole in the Islamist networks, secretly working for MI6.

But don't tell anyone, because his life would be at risk if his comrades found out.

I'd just take him out the back of Belmarsh and pop one into the back of his tightly bound skull...

Indeed, the argument isn't about whether they'll torture him at all - it's a question of whether his trial in Jordan would use evidence obtained by torturing other people.

I wish the Septics would ask for him - he'd be gone in a couple of days.

Hang on, what if we told the Plods he was an illegal Brazilian worker....

The legal argument may have moved on but there is absolutely a consideration of whether to accept the word of torturers who lie about the fact that they are torturers.

Asylum should come with obligations but that does not man that it should be dependent those obligations. Rights come with responsibilities bit it does not follow that failure to meet these responsibilities leads to loss of these rights.

These type of people want to be given protection in a country they want to destroy and/or go to war with. Send him to Jordan and let him deal with it there given this country is such an evil one.....

Seriously though there are times when it you got to give people a chance to appeal, human rights etc but that guy just needs to be dropped from a plane into Jordan.
It would be easier to have the US make up some evidence and have him deported there. Then the US can have the CIA "lose" him somewhere between London and Gitmo.

Pffft. You expect any more from him than the many thousands of benefits fraudsters in the UK. My your standards are high.

If he directly sponsors terrorism then we must prosecute him and punish him severely if he's guilty . If he indirectly sponsors terrorism then I'm not sure what that mean. It sounds serious so let's change the law.

What makes you think he wont get a fair trial in Jordan?
