oh dear: Ex-wives win key divorce rulings

Something to make anyone who's married sleep better at night:

"The Law Lords have ruled two ex-wives are entitled to their former husbands' millions in landmark rulings."

"Melissa Miller can keep the £5m she was awarded out of her ex-husband Alan's £17.5m fortune, said the lords."

"The Millers, who lived in Chelsea, London, were married for two years and nine months and had no children when they split."

"Julia McFarlane is entitled to £250,000 a year from her ex-husband Kenneth for life - not just the five years decided by the Court of Appeal."

The Miller case sends shivers down my spine because the argument was not that she sacrificed her earnings, but that she expected to get his anyway!

Yep, that's right! You marry a millionaire because you are a gold digger and the courts now think that this is reason enough to get all his money. No need to even prove loss of your earnings!

    Unbe-fcuking-lievable!

    It only ever gets worse.

On leaving court Mrs Miller said: "Obviously I am very happy."

"Outside the Lords, Mrs McFarlane’s lawyer, James Pirrie, said: "We are delighted for Julia. It is a ground-breaking ruling.

"Until today maintenance for a stay-at-home mum was based purely on her living costs. Now judges must consider contribution and compensation for people like Julia. This is only fair. The judgment recognises her sacrifice and that marriage is a partnership.""

It is things like this that do not help to change my 'stay single' approach to life.

This is yet another reason to discourage marriage. And the native population shrinks as a result. Why should divorced women have the luxury and choice of not working for the rest of their lives? Marriage for women is a business investment. Keep to hookers, they are more honest and up front with the deal… and cheaper.

                Such is modern life.

The British middle-class male must expect be fecked-over and derided in the name of 'fairness' at every opportunity.

We generate the wealth, make things work, make it all happen, but we need to be bled dry on a regular basis to support the ever-rising tide of useless fecking parasites who feel they are entitled (with the encouragement of the government) to our hard-earned

You've come right out the other side of the forest of irony and ended up in the desert of wrong.
