The java will be done in jenkins but the DB scripts have to be done through the 'release management' process.
I can kind off see the point of what they are trying to achieve, making sure that what goes into prod has been through UAT but the manner in which it is done is bonkers.Comment

Mr Clipster, see if your problems are line and/or exchange related, then changing providers doesn't help. I changed the cafe to Plusnet when I still had it and they still had to wait to get Bt to fix the exchange issue (which BT insisted was a router problem in my house).
One of the perils of living in the sticks I suppose. Anyway, you couldn't watch yer beloved tattie-munchers every week if you lived in hun-landWhen freedom comes along, don't PISH in the water supply.....Comment

Finally sorted with BT and got the bill reduced by the correct amount. Only took five hours over two days on the phone, spoke to ten different people mostly in India who when they get hit with a difficult problem or can't be arsed just kill the call thus starting the merry go round again.
Shocking customer service as we all know.
Down the pub again to recover and lower the blood pressure.Comment

You have my sympathies on the BT front. They were the ones who gave me the final push in deciding to look for work outside the UK.Behold the warranty -- the bold print giveth and the fine print taketh away.Comment
