The algorithm was years on site + posts / 1000 + rep /1000 (although that last bit was initially /100 which caused massive rep inflation).

Personally I would have just switched rep off (then again I've a new contract and I'm busy at the moment so I may be slightly biased).

Yes, that formula works out for the two reps I've tried. Seems similar to the one I posted when reps first started wayback, how did you know it?

the original formula can be found on a google search for vBulletin reputation.

After the change in formula I got two reps in quick succession which allowed me to work out the formula based on the people who repped me.

PS neg rep is worth 1/2 a +ve rep. And its rounded down so a +1 rep is -0. +3 is -1.

Finally 16 + 5 years=21 so yes whoever asked is correct.

The member currently packing the biggest rep punch appears to be zeitghost. An early join date and the highest postCount (just), and rep score not much of a factor yet. Although when rounded to integers probably not much between them.

Ah here's the one I gave ages ago. I also had guessed postCount / 1000.

Mr Pad gives rep out more frequently however.

Well the hangers on should be easy to spot as I have no friends!

On second thoughts this could be fun! I think Wilmslow should be top of the rep charts this week!
