I'm deeply offended; calling me a pimp is the lowest of the low, with the obvious exception of plumbing the depths by calling me an ex spud peeling grunt

Depends if a website tries to implement something or just ignores it.

If its the former than the tests so far show an 80% lose in traffic so most sites will just ignore it and pray they aren't the one that is prosecuted as a test case.

I'd wager that no-one gives more than a passing nod to it. The directive allows cookies that are intrinsic to the operation of the website, so authentication, shopping basket, user preferences etc. Most tracking is now done through tracking pixels so not covered by cookies (although there might be something else in there that covers that).

Much same as current uk privacy laws unless it's been revised. Ok to keep data for necessary reasons, ie for shopping carts, to deliver goods or for necessary accounting records.

That's what I was wondering. His only provocative posts have been in this thread and the cycling one. His posts werent even the worst though.

It's a good guess that he didnt do anything wrong and instead, hurt the feelings of a mod.

We used to have a dog called cookie. His name was actually Cruachan, but no-one could say it properly, so he became Cookie. (or Cookie Buns if you were talking to my sister)
