I was just looking at the Titanic survivors statistics. Seems that being a Third Class female passenger on the Titanic only had a 50-50 chance of survival, compared to 97% for First Class women. Second Class men did slightly worse than Third Class men - the vast majority died. First Class men didn't do great either. I've heard an awful lot of people got trapped or lost below decks, haven't seen any numbers though.

The astounding thing about that documentary is the lack of care for the passengers as exhibited by the "crew".
