Increadibly Comfortable/Uncomfortable Men's Suits

I like how some suits look and enjoy wearing them from a "fashion" point of view. Also you can't really get away from wearing one if you work in the corporate/banking sector. -
Possibly a controversial comment, but I feel more productive when I'm dressed in a suit - as opposed to say, a Friday when it's a casual dress day. Must be psychological though.Comment

I've only ever seen you when you're pissed

even the junior devs at my current gig wear a full suitOriginally posted by NorthWestPerm2Contr View PostI like how some suits look and enjoy wearing them from a "fashion" point of view. Also you can't really get away from wearing one if you work in the corporate/banking sector.
I turned up on day 1 in chino's and a shirt with no tie. I've made no effort to "smarten" up and will probably resist to the point of walking if they did suddenly challenge my sartorial standardsCoffee's for closersComment

What I wear on site is the least of my clients worries to be honest.
They should be far more concerned with what I am doing.

You would have thought that would be the case..... Some places I have worked at are more concerned with keeping their resource entitlement rather than even thinking about what they are delivering......Originally posted by Pondlife View PostWhat I wear on site is the least of my clients worries to be honest.

WHS, and the same goes even more so for ties.Originally posted by russell View PostSuits are for corporate ass lickers and middle manager pussies, did Steve Jobs wear a suit?
If a client rejected me based on whether I wear a suit or not then I wouldn't want to work there.Work in the public sector? Read the IR35 FAQ hereComment

I guess if you have beard and hair like that then the suit is the last thing they would be worried about...Originally posted by OwlHoot View PostWHS, and the same goes even more so for ties.Comment

I like all the remarks 'I'll wear what I want, if they don't like it, I walk'.
In my many moons of contracting, I have never seen this, as it would be a stupid attitude.
I wear what is acceptable in the office I am working in. This can be jeans and t-shirt, it can be suited and booted, but most likely, it's how you'd expect: dress according to their culture, not yours.
I get called back to companies I have worked for before, because I don't make life tricky from the get go.Comment
