Increadibly Comfortable/Uncomfortable Men's Suits

I have a few fairly expensive ones (four figrues), but strangely...the one i like most and feel most comfortable in... and the one I always wear to interview...it's from asda may be because i know if i ruin it, it's cheap to replace

I have found these guys are ok for day to day suits - quite comfy but then I find all suits are - if you buy the correct size!

I don't know if anybody else finds suits normally very uncomfortable and itchy but I generally can't stand them. I have 2 summer Cerruti suits which are comfortable enough to wear on a daily basis but I can't seem to find a suit that is so comfortable to wear that I could go to sleep in it (which is my real aim).

Any ideas on what Suits I should be looking at? French Connection, Tailored?

Fit wise if you can afford it and you want a suit that lasts get a be'spoke one made up. Made to measure are less expensive, then you have off the shelf

Merino wool. Super 100 I haven't found itchy and I frequently fall asleep wearing them.
The higher the number the finer the wool but also more expensive and more prone to visible thread catch damage. Super 100s to Super 150s are high street tailoring items.

Off the shelf : M&S ones from many years ago were really itchy probably 80s or 90s grade (they have probably changed the wool they use). Austin Reed, Valentino, Jaeger suits I haven't found itchy in the slightest, though I haven't bought a suit for years

What if the client told you to wear a swastika would you do that? I am paid to work not to change the way I dress.

When meetings get called, do you go to the one where the project manager tells you what to do. Or the one where you get to tell the board what their new strategy will be for the next year?

Seriously you might think you are being a smart individualistic visionary but the truth is if you dress like a tramp you get moved to the janitors office.

To the OP stop buying off the peg suits made on sweat shop lines only to have a posh badge stitched in by a child, and go find a decent tailor. Then your suits will fit and not feel uncomfortable. Simples ! If you don't change weight much a good quality suit with two pair of trousers will last a few years

You could try the Austin Reed personal tailors route if you don't want to spend serious cash. I have a blazer from them and it's not bad quality.

I've had suits from the hong-kong visiting tailor - Raja something or other. Very comfortable, but not particularly cheap if you want a nice material.

I have also tried Asuitthatfits.co.uk - took a while to get the cut right, but they have a fit guarantee so you just keep going until they get it right.
