I dont use any Apple product but got to give it to them for redefining a product area and making a lot of money off it. Mobile phones where going nowhere with Nokia crap until they came out with IPhone. Tablets were going nowhere until they got out Ipad. I like Apple for the way they raise the bar and force other companies to bring out better products. Imagine if IPhone hadnt happened, Nokia would be shipping out crappy phones with clunky UI.

If there was the content to support it in the UK, then Kindle Fire, but there isn't yet.
If you want cheap and cheerful, then AndyPad Pro.Comment

Here's what the original Android prototype looked like. Judging by the price drop of old stock when the iPad 2 came out, you might not even need to look for used stuff.Originally posted by lilelvis2000 View PostCrikey. I'm still waiting for the Amazon Fire to get over the pond and now the iPad 3 is out. And that means that there will be a lot of used iPad 2 on sale soon. Time to grab me a bargin.Last edited by Sysman; 8 March 2012, 15:47.Behold the warranty -- the bold print giveth and the fine print taketh away.Comment

Well that's a bit like saying Windows never crashes, providing you don't load any apps or drivers on it.Originally posted by Spacecadet View PostAndroid never crashes for me either.
The applications running on it aer a different matter altogether but android does handle their crashes quite gracefully
Occasionally I notice that I'm not getting a signal on my Android phone and I find that rebooting it enables it to find some signal again.Comment

Flash? Ah yes, that old technology that has been withdrawn from mobile devices by its own manufacturer: "HTML5 [is] the best solution for creating and deploying content in the browser across mobile platforms... We will no longer continue to develop Flash Player in the browser to work with new mobile device configurations"Originally posted by russell View PostBet it could play flash though.

So overnight every flash based website changes to HTML5, nope will take many years for everyone to move to HTML5. Should have been in from the start, whether Flash is good or not is not the question, building a device that can access all of the web or crippling it from the start is. Maybe if they left it out in 10 years time when most of the Flash sites have been converted would have been acceptable.Originally posted by NickFitz View PostFlash?
