I dont use any Apple product but got to give it to them for redefining a product area and making a lot of money off it. Mobile phones where going nowhere with Nokia crap until they came out with IPhone. Tablets were going nowhere until they got out Ipad. I like Apple for the way they raise the bar and force other companies to bring out better products. Imagine if IPhone hadnt happened, Nokia would be shipping out crappy phones with clunky UI.

Asus Transformer Prime or Samsung Galaxy.

If there was the content to support it in the UK, then Kindle Fire, but there isn't yet.

If you want cheap and cheerful, then AndyPad Pro.

Here's what the original Android prototype looked like. Then the iPhone appeared...

Judging by the price drop of old stock when the iPad 2 came out, you might not even need to look for used stuff.

Only apple fanbois would pay an extra £100 for some metal casing worth about £10

Well that's a bit like saying Windows never crashes, providing you don't load any apps or drivers on it.

Occasionally I notice that I'm not getting a signal on my Android phone and I find that rebooting it enables it to find some signal again.

Flash? Ah yes, that old technology that has been withdrawn from mobile devices by its own manufacturer: "HTML5 [is] the best solution for creating and deploying content in the browser across mobile platforms... We will no longer continue to develop Flash Player in the browser to work with new mobile device configurations"

Yes, and van Gogh's Starry Night is only about ten bob's worth of paint and canvas

So overnight every flash based website changes to HTML5, nope will take many years for everyone to move to HTML5. Should have been in from the start, whether Flash is good or not is not the question, building a device that can access all of the web or crippling it from the start is. Maybe if they left it out in 10 years time when most of the Flash sites have been converted would have been acceptable.
