I am looking at that, but it raises problems for a lag-free experience and requires a very stable web-connection (better than for HD streaming) since you can't buffer in the same way you can video.
Putting a bespoke infrastructure together for this would be too big an investment, I've looked at open-source webcam and video code but not sure they are viable for real-time.

But the main issue is requiring web connection - whole point of an iPad is you can take it in the field where coverage may be lousy.

Offline rendering is more a publicity stunt for my product at this time.

You solve problems and you make £££ and $$$, otherwise you'll die whilst posting tulip on CUK.

You luddites make me laugh. You are witnessing a new paradigm in personal computing being born and all you can say is "WGAF".

Tablet computing has caught the public's imagination - even my great aunt has got an iPad.

I witnessed that new paradigm being born 10 or so years ago. All we're witnessing now is a minor upgrade to one product line from one manufacturer. WGAF.
Will work inside IR35. Or for food.

I've got an Asus Transformer Prime. I don't buy into the whole i-Everything schtick. I'd much rather stay with the Android open source model than prop up "The Man".

It's not a new paradigm, it's been around a while. There will be much larger shifts coming in the next few years.
While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'
