Well, it is a free world after all. However, I don't buy into the Help for Heroes guff as I don't believe the vast majority of soldiers are into the Army for altruistic reasons. Hey ho, not into the Army, war or all that bollocks. I read once some soldiers complaining about being sent to Afghanistan. WHen they joined the army, what did they think they were signing up to? Training to become some half assed Network Engineer? Accoutants? Possibly 12 years in the UK with a comfy posting, crawling to Sargeant so they could come out with a half assed qualification and pension?

Joining the army isn't a bright thing to do, the coffins were an illustration of why it isn't a clever thing to do. It's my opinion, and it's a strong belief of mine.

My brother was a major in 1para and turned down the SAS. He never discusses anything - though he has indicated that Kosovo was by far the worst. There were bad things done to civilians of all ages - not good.

Whether you believe it or not, whether you agree with it or not they all died defending your right to be the pillock you obviously are and for that they deserve your respect.
            Just saying like.

            where there's chaos, there's cash !

I could agree with you, but then we would both be wrong!

That's your opinion. They are not deserved of my respect, and haven't defended my right to do, or be, anything. Blair sold them all down the river, not me. My conscience is clear. In fact, the soldiers who complained about going should be held in contempt.
