Look at Juventus, they are still just as big as before they were demoted and had two titles stripped due to match fixing, if a Rangers fan stops supporting them because they are no longer in the SPL, would you really call them a Rangers fan in the first place?!

Totally difference, Rangers are being liquidated, so the new team is not the same all the history has gone. The supporters are entitled to move on as the team they supported no longer exists.

The history will always be there, Rangers football club will still exist, just the owning company will change as it has done many times with lots of other clubs

The decision on Rangers punishment should be totally separate from the Sky deal. What next, letting off murderers because by them being jailed would cause his family to suffer financially?

As for McCoist its a tough situation, he's had it confirmed that Green will oust him (I imagine for someone cheaper and a yes man) when the take over is complete, so he goes now or is sacked in 48 hours time

They wont go to the wall, the league existed before Sky did, and there are other providers that would pay for it. All that will happen is a tightening of belts.
