BN6678 or something is some tax evasion scheme that many contractors on this website used to pay around 3% tax instead of 45% tax. They were informed by the dodgy company which set up this scheme that it was all legit and HMRC have agreed that IT contractors earning 200K PA need to pay only 3% tax and no more. So they went ahead and used the scheme to pay no tax and used all that tax avoided money to buy houses and go on holidays etc. But the proverbial happened and tulip hit the fan and they are being asked to pay back all that cash. They think its unfair but honest tax paying folks like me who have been paying 45% rate or what ever it is now think its only fair that they pay equally into the socialist basket.
This is the summary. I think an auto ban is imposed on whoeever summarises like this. So it could well be that I may not be around to reply to any replies.

MF was debating winding up the bn66ers? What is the difference between constructively criticizing and winding up?Comment

sasguru seems to have survived so far. But I was actually suggesting that you do NOT start another thread. I don't like bans. I am part of the BN66 thread - but I would like to see atw and mf back.Originally posted by fullyautomatix View PostI am not falling for that trick. I thought general was regarded as somewhat of a bear pit and anything goes. The BN66 have their own thread in the sensible forums so do not need to join in with any piss take here.Originally posted by BrilloPad View Posterrr - you are right!
