I paid just under 3k for a saab 93 convertible last month. There are a few nice Aero's knocking around (last of the 00 - 03 models so not the new crappy ones) very comfy and mines returning about 27 mpg at the moment.

Yes but that's the problem. Every one that has owned that car has been a twunt. You will be lucky to find one thats not very badly abused even if its got the FHSH. The last thing you want to do if you are buying a cheap run around is find out that next week you have a 2k bill to sort its gearbox. other than that nice car

Actually bollocks to spending £3000. Budget is £1000 tops, I can get that out of the cashpoint and it saves me going to the bank.

Scouring gumtree and autotrader as we speak.

            This looks alright:

While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'

Does that Volvo have an MOT? The title doesn't match the detail.

IMO 1k will buy you a lot of problems and its not like its a nice looking car that will be easy to sell when you are done...

Agreed, and the wording makes my spider senses tingle as well. Not liking that one at all.

                      wasn't the 75 diesel a BMW engine. I really wouldn't want a 1.8 k series engine of any age.
