But you seem to think that going well over target is a good thing. Tell you what - vote for me to be Guv of BoE and I will take my helicopter over London and drop £50 notes..... -
The "helicoper drop" is actually a serious Gedankenexperiment in economic circles. No one knows what the effect would be - no one has the balls to try.Originally posted by BrilloPad View PostBut you seem to think that going well over target is a good thing. That is an exception but its only worked because of the built in redundancy of computers. It always used to be that a three year old computer was so much worse than even the cheapest new one you gave up and bought it (usually in my case when it was end of life in a sale).Originally posted by zeitghostThat doesn't seem to have stopped people buying techie stuff for the last 30 years.
Now that it isn't the case pc sales are falling off a cliff especially as ipad's are a sexier option when all you want to do is read email and browser the net.merely at clientco for the entertainmentComment

If there was deflation, you'd put off buying a kitchen, say, or new furniture or almost anything since it would be cheaper a month from now and even cheaper a year from nowHard Brexit now!

I don't think you understand the difference between being inside and outside the eurozone. Having our own currency, we can pick and choose how we support these bailouts.Originally posted by AtW View PostYes so instead of supporting neighbours in eurozone UK will be paying more money to IMF which will go to said eurozone
