    True.

I'm not allowed to be a Christian, it's official :-)

btw- point 4. Close. Only remove the charity status from their non-charitable activities. Could be tricky though.
Agreed. This is still nominally a Christian country. The Queen is defender of the faith and when Charles becomes KIng George he will be too - as much as he would like to be defencer of the faiths.

If we are going to stop being a christian country we should be careful what we replace it with or we might go right downhill alot faster than we are now.

Yep, let's all live according to the Bible:

"Happy and Blessed Are Those Who Dash Children Against Rocks"

How many of those who advocate religion have actually read the bible?

Nope. Unless you're talking about a special North Korean version, in which case quite possibly

Personally I have read it all - plus the Koran.

"Happy and Blessed Are Those Who Dash Children Against Rocks" - where does it say that?

For that matter, how many of those who make claims about what Christians believe, and what Christianity teaches?

What does "advocating religion" have to do with Christianity? The bulk of the religious people in the world aren't Christians...

It's the part of 'By the Rivers of Babylon' that Boney M left out of the lyrics :-)

Actually no, he didn't. His dislike of the religious mentality was one of the main reasons the religious people weren't so fond of him.

                      As you say...actually no.

He was against the established 'state' religion of the time. Advocating a personal 1:1 relationship with god, rather than the entrenched 'religious machine' of the temple etc.

A bit like the split between 'orthodox' and 'reform' Judaism.

Trust me, my boy.....sheesh! (if u know vot I mean :-)

Remember that he didn't preach Christianity. He was born, lived and died a practicing Jew.
