For Manchester it would have to be Chorlton (quite bohemian - if that's your thing) or Didsbury.Comment

Warrington is my home town.
It's not paradise, but it's not a cr*phole either. PM me and I'll do a go/no go list for when he is looking for somewhere to live. There are only the usual number of 'red-line' estates compared with similar towns, and the rest is just like any other suburbia.
In atmosphere, it is a bit like a small Reading, the usual mixture of old and new.Comment

All these places have good motorway links to warrington:
Salford Quays - Really nice area to live and right next to motorway which takes you direct to Warrington, cheap rental.
Sale - Next to M60 and middle class area, good tram links, ok prices for rental.
Sharston - close to M56 and cheap rentals (£500/month easily)
As for Wilmslow/Alderley Edge, they are far from everywhere and transport links not that good unless you want to use train.Comment

What type of house would he be looking at Dodgy??
Just so I can keep it realistic, rent-wise.
Also, tell me roughly where in Warrington he is working. Warrington has a 'big-town' rush hour, and I would definitely choose my house to be on the same side of town as my job.Last edited by KimberleyChris; 24 January 2012, 11:18.Comment
