Edit: read full thread, I see you did now

Have you ever been put through to the UK call centre?

If not, first thing you do, go on the front foot to speak to the off shore guys manager. Demand it. Tell them in a couple of short sentances you've been through all the "on and off again" stuff. You want their manager right now.

Then when you do finally get the manager, demand to be immediately put through to the UK call centre.

They will protest, but they should eventually do it. Then you might get somewhere.

Twitter is another good way to get a response from BT.. publically slate them everyday until they fix your problem, they soon responded to me when i had a problem

Aha, Bashing "BT" into Company Search comes up with some useful looking numbers.

I see the website claims to have been around since 1999. A couple of years late for my big BT disaster, but would have come in useful for other "events" later.

This has worked for me on other companies in the past.

When I've had problems with BT in the past (luckily not often) I have found you get a better response by going through to their faults dept.

Just short of a month I've now got phone and internet back again. Took a lot of phone calls, contacting my MP, newspapers etc but seemed to work despite being told on Monday a repair would be 2-3 weeks away.

                It pays to persevere.

                  Welcome back!

While you've been gone the Internet has fallen completely out of fashion. There's only a couple of people still on it. This message has been pre-recorded.
