Bes of luck with it and congrats for getting it off the ground. But...

... I'm not sure what it does and I don't want to have to sit through a video or a tour to find out. Why doen'st hte front page tell me what the product is?
Can't see any contact details so why should I give a random bloke off the Internet any personal or payment info?
On the front page under build you have text Goto tour that isn't a link

Hope it all works out and makes you millions

If it was worth testing that I'm sure Nick would say as much. However the only people with those logos on the site are ones you really don't want to be associated with.

As I said slightly later people automatically assume sites are secure. Don't give them any reason to think they are not by placing actual credentials in their view.

My advice is usually to do what Amazon does. As Amazon does not list credentials you shouldn't either.

But Amazon is a worldwide reputed company that almost everyone has heard of, that's why I trust them with my Ccard details and Personal Info, this is a new site that is asking you to sign up and give your personal info to them, I would expect at least a statement confirming that the site has been checked by pro's for vulnerabilities etc. of course that is easy to fake but it would be something I would look for at a bare minimum.

I like the idea as I previously posted so no chip pissing here.

"Went to the Aston Martin garage yesterday. I may be getting ahead of myself."

For all we know the OPs trip to the Aston Martin garage yesterday may not be based on money from fees.

You should spend some time looking at the AB testing case study sites. Its quite illuminating because it shows that you need to understand what people expect and then emphasis what is different about you. One example was sunshine.co.uk who emphasis that they don't have a phone number and then explain why that is the case.

Personally I think there are things that need to be fixed prior to worrying about data security issues. Its an issue is of interest to us because we are techies its probably not of interest to the general public.

Good. My kitchen needs tidying up. Payment on offer is whatever you find in the food recycling bin.
Feist - 1234. One camera, one take, no editing. Superb. How they did it

                Firstly congrats.

As mentioned, a copywriter is needed, it reads like it is written by a techie... especially when reading the limited security section. Plus the continual reference to "stuff" makes me wonder what stuff?

Knowing about ESPC etc, I wonder what buying a house has to do with an online organiser but I've not watched the video.

Is it like remember the milk or is it more advanced?

At least he's only using the server logs. If he was using Google Analytics or any of its variants (including my plan b) he and that supplier could learn a lot more than just your work organisation and location.

Its one reason why I'm not suggesting ab testing as doing that in any professional manner would require providing a 3rd party with dynamic access to the website.

Agreed - making your site get the best conversion and so forth really is quite a specialised chunk of knowledge. You can learn it of course, but trial and error with detailed log analysis is a big part.

Would recommend "MicroISV on a shoestring" blog for anyone selling through their site... go right back to the beginning.... Main site: Kalzumeus Software | Patrick McKenzie (patio11) blogs on software development, marketing, and general business topics
