I'll be waiting on the 3D front as I understand that Sony, Panasonic, Samsung and Co are trying to come up with a standard across their products. So I won't be laying my cash down until I know what they decide. Until I heard this i was looking at the Panasonic 65" 3D full HD Plasma, bit expensive at the mo.
Personally I am a Panasonic fan, although our main TV is Samsung, but have 2 Panasonic Freesat units in the bedroom and our small lounge.

So far they've only agreed on that the standard will be 3D.
The problem is that you can wait forever if you're looking to wait for the next generation product or the latest and greatest tech. Right here, right now, we have what we have - a decent HD or 3D picture from an affordable plasma.
Who cares if you have to wear glasses for 3D? You're only going to watch the occasional 3D movie anyway.
I've found myself a HD/3D 60" plasma at just over £1,000. It's clearly not the greatest tech out there but it'll give me what I want for the next few years and then we'll move on again. Beats my 36" CRT anyway.
