Brilliant news. The £ will fall. Europe will bung tarriffs on UK goods and the UK respond in kind. UK imports far more from EU than it exports so UK businesses will flourish as it becomes more competitive to do more of its own manufacturing. Socialists made to go and pick fruit from the fields so immigrants chucked out. Public sector workers have to then do proper jobs so welfare payments fall and fewer people employed in the welfare industry.

No more job destroying EU imposed employment and H&S laws no more contributions to the EU.

I think you'll find the word you're looking for is "wandering" if you really wish to bastardise Wordsworth.

The UK is now completely isolated. Before it went in the EU it did have considerable influence with the US but that´s now completely gone. The UK is not a manufacturing power house it makes its money almost exclusively through the City, without the City the UK will be about as wealthy as Poland. Then of course there is the question as to what Scotland thinks about leaving the EU. I think Scotland would become independent leaving England to become small offshore financial centre. But would the EU allow an offshore financial centre to handle it´s transactions:

Britain may assume it will benefit from extra business for the City, should the euro zone ever pass a financial-transaction tax. But what if the new club starts imposing financial regulations among the 17 euro-zone members, or the 23 members of the euro-plus pact? That could begin to force euro-denominated transactions into the euro zone, say Paris or Frankfurt. Britain would, surely, have had more influence had the countries of the euro zone remained under an EU-wide system. .....

Mr Cameron may have made a grievous mistake with regard to Britain's long-term interest.

Sweden and Denmark are even joining the new treaty. Norway can afford to do what it likes because it has an awful lot of oil compared to the size of it´s country. Switzerland has long been bounced into Schengen along with a whole lot distasteful legislation that it had no other option than to swallow.

Who would form an alliance with the UK? India? China? What does the UK export to these countries?, answer f-all, I think they´ll ignore the UK.
