It's relatively poorer relative to many other nations that it was. Large swathes of our once publicly owned infrastructure has been privatised and is now owned by foreign interests. The average lifespan is decreasing. Income inequality is rising. Free higher education is starting to disappear. We're massively in debt both as a country and individually. We are not a country on the up, however you try and spin it.Originally posted by sasguru View PostBollux. You can blame New Labour for much of that. In the 1990s Britain's GDP/debt ratio was the lowest of the major economies in Europe and its pensions provision was the best.Originally posted by doodab View PostIt's relatively poorer relative to many other nations that it was. With the right policies we can get there again, but reversing 15 years of Labour mismanagement is going to be hard.Hard Brexit now!

If it wasn't for that German .net social scheme for dunces that provides the likes of you and milan with employment, you'd be lucky to get a job at McD's.
