There really are a lot of new things around - I hadn't even heard of Gotham, Flash or Constantine until I overheard someone mention them in the pub last week. The latter is on Amazon Video.

I'm just getting into Walking Dead S5 and feeling they missed a huge opportunity (only seen E1, no spoilers please).
Not sure what missed opportunity you are talking about?

S5 of Walking Dead has seen a tremendous improvement on the last couple of seasons IMHO.

I'd go so far as to say E1 blew me away with how good it was. Stick with it!

Me and SWMBO started watching one called Lost Girl a few weeks ago. Cover looks naff but it's bloody good. All about a girl who is a succubus and the Fae who are generally fairy tale creatures. Bit like Heros but with fairy tale twist. She's also bi-sexual and has an on off lesbian relationship throughout and they don't hold back on the scenes. Bit of violence, love, nookie and sci fi all in one package. Story lines are even pretty good.

      5 stars from me.

I enjoyed it, although it kept getting more ridiculous as each season went on.

          Didn't like the ending.

It's pretty brain out entertainment, not deep like some US shows but we can both watch it and it's easy viewing, especially the nookie

It was good, I just felt after all that build-up it was all over in one episode and some of the details made little sense. Contrast with the prison/governor storyline which arced several episodes, there just seemed so much potential for what happened at the end of the line rather than just another scrap.

I agree S4 wasn't so great. It was an interesting change of approach but most of the characters aren't strong enough for individual storylines, it's all about the group dynamics.
Looking forward to it anyway, got up to E5 recorded I think.

That sounds more like True Blood.

Oh god True Blood, Mrs S. watched all 7 seasons of that on Sky Boxsets it was agony for me

I see what you mean by the Walking Dead S4 compared to S5 but you never know what's going to happen next.

I got up to S3 (I think) before regular TV stopped showing it. Based on how that series ended I am rather glad they did me the favour. That was a show that really squandered its material fast and got to the dregs too soon!

That's what I liked about it, instead of being drawn out it happened quickly, definite change of pace.

Read this review after you've watched the first 3 episodes
