The EU should be run like NATO - no MEPs and no European Commission. Free trade area where markets and labour compete - free movement of labour and that is it.

There is a lot to be said for harmonizing standards for things like product safety, emissions and so on as well. It's much easier to design & certify a product for Europe than for 27 separate territories.

The Greeks and Italians are being forced to accept unelected representatives to govern them. They should have been given the choice via referenda/elections.
