Bzzzz - Rubbish statistics alert! (Hardly surprising, coming from scooterscot) :

Current population of Greece: 11,319,002 (*)

    Ditto of the UK: 62,219,000

(*) I'm sure about the 2, because I know a couple; but the rest is a rough estimate.

Particularly in Berlin, some of which I worked alongside are very well educated in disciplines that are in much demand, engineering, mathematics.

The trouble begins, much as it is in the UK, with the non-existent diversification. But then I ask myself how is that any different to China Town in San Francisco, how is that different to the Asian suburbs of Sydney?

From my perspective the residents are as much responsible is not more for alienating immigrants.

Are you saying there is less unemployed people in the UK than there is in Greece? Fantastic how you cannot admit that!

What are lines on a map but just that when people are free to move between them for work.

Your assuming that the ratio between the employed / economically inactive / unemployed is static and matched across countries.

            Firstly:

            are fewer

I was hinting, apparently in vain, that what counts is the unemployment rate. (sigh!)

              Debt crisis: live - Telegraph

Both France and Germany growing quite strongly, sort of blows the Eurozone depression myth out the window really.
              I'm alright Jack

Yes they matched UK growth rate.
The latter part of your statement doesn't follow though, not surprising given your lack of logical skills.

Extreme capitalism is the difference between the haves and the have nots, a gap that has only increased year after year without care. I'd call that extreme.
Contracting is a classic example of "extreme capitalism". It is an example of how goods and services are bought and sold according to their value on the market. There is no deference to any concepts of socialism within this particular activity. I think the word is hypocrisy

Anyone remember that TV footage of Comical Ali assuring the world of Iraq's impending victory in the Gulf War, while if you looked over his shoulder you could see enemy tanks approaching?

the reason why Germany is growing so strongly - and let us not forget that its growth rates were lower than those of the UK pre 2010 - and its unemployment rates higher- is because it has stifled competition from the rest of the Euro states by imposing the Euro. The Euro has in turn levelled the cost base of in particular labour across Europe, kept inflation rates low and stopped Germany becoming uncompetitive by being part of a currency which is not appreciating. Furthermore German banks have lent Europeans vast sums of money in order that Europeans can buy their consumer goods. Do not tell me that this was not part of the plan of the Germans. And some of you want to cede power to these people without having any say in how they govern?
