He is dangerously stupid in his thinking, though fortunately in no position to influence any but the similarly hard of thinking.

    That's my impression too.

Would you see it linked to TV- as a Eurovision Song type event- i.e. Bruce & Anthea doing the build up then something along the lines of the telephone vote for the best contestant
      or
just a utilitarian click on a web thingy to make your vote?
How fortunate for governments that the people they administer don't think

Ahhh but you'd already run out of arguments... so relying on the Dorset resident idiot to bolster your weak posts is somewhat disingenuous

There wouldnt be many votes. Just policy settings , almost like setting your budget sliders in a game.
With some 'damper' rules to stop things swinging wildly in response to fashion or public mood, like a moving average for example.

One thing would become immediatly obvious to the great unwashed - If you want to pump money into something, it has to come from somewhere else

Again, you're assuming, which is risky.

We need to worry about where the voters come from, not some arbrary ,quota filled failed polytechnic media studies twonk.

I agree, there could be a new protocol written that sits on top of IP, a voting protocol to ensure its unhackable. I.e. not done using some code monkeys attempt using php.

It's just an idea, I'm sure that I am not the first to have it.
I think once one country or authority tries it, the rest will follow

Better still, why not just come up with an algorithm that links the Births, Deaths, and Marriages Register to Troll-perceived voting preferences? That would work well.
Honest to God, you take being a complete racist cretin to a bizarre dimension.

The only conflict of interest would be if someone with dual citizenship became an MP - and even then it depends on the relationship Britain has to the second country. In many ways, someone who wasn't born a citizen of the country, who has been naturalised would make a better citizen and MP. They chose to be British - they didn't just drop out of some chavette's chuff. It shows some kind of commitment to the country not always shown by native citizens.

What this has to do with the original subject about illegal immigration and border security, I have no idea.
