Despite the accident, I still see motorways as the safest roads - thankfully accidents such as this are very rare - I'd certainly prefer driving at 60-70 with a BMW jammed up my exhaust than 60-70 with a BMW heading towards me on my side of the road on a blind bendComment

Was due to be heading down to Devon on Friday to help parents pack ready for a house move but went to see Evanescence in Hammersmith, and were going to go down on Saturday instead, lucky break.
Didn't go down at all in the end. Summoned my 2 sons in Exeter to go help out instead.
Nasty event. Sounds like may have been bonfire smoke across the carriageway. Look forward to the final report.
Rugby club or whoever had the bonfire could find themselves in some shyte if proven.Never has a man been heard to say on his death bed that he wishes he'd spent more time in the office.Comment

Horrible as it is, ACCIDENTS HAPPEN.Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave JohnsonComment

Which Einstein thought having a fireworks display next to a busy motorway was a good idea? Just because it hasnt caused issues in other years all it takes is the wind change direction. Hope the rugby club have insurance as they are going to in court for the foreseeable future.Comment
