There is no valid reason why I should be expected to pay anything towards a warranty replacement on a gift bought for somebody and worse still, be charged without my knowledge.
Probably a mix0up by some junior member of staff. They will have been sent on a training course to remind them of the correct way to deal with the situation.

      Like it always is.

We don't have to save the world. The world is big enough to look after itself. What we have to be concerned about is whether or not the world we live in will be capable of sustaining us in it.

Wow, 2 in one week. Must be serious.

No, I Googled it and found it appropriate.

Each to their own, but I reckon the Kindle is the best gadget I've bought in years. Probably the one that gets the most use as well, apart from my mobile.

I haven't seen the point yet.

I prefer to get books from the library, or buy them then give them in to a charity shop.

The kindle removes this ability as you cannot 'donate' books when your done.

I also just like the feel of a book.

The only thing it might be good for is my tech library but I don't buy anywhere near as many tech books as I used to as it's all on the web anyway, and I'm never not connected.

The storage is ludicrous as well. The advert says it can store 1400 books?? Who really needs that? Divide the storage by 3 and knock £50 off then I might consider it.

My Calibre library has 4158 books in it. I probably have 1000 on the Kindle at a time - lots of reference books and technical manuals which I like to have handy, since many clients don't have them available.
