    You don't have to get the card. Ryanair have always provided some difficult means whereby you can avoid paying an extra fee that isn't shown up-front (not until you press pay, about 5 screens in). They like to change this system regularly to keep catching people out, and now they've gone further in that in order to avoid paying the 'surprise' £6 (each way), you have take up some awful credit card.

      As I said, if it's still cheaper, what's the problem.


      It's not as bad as the 'online booking fees' scam that the concert ticket operators use.

        Wilmslow - it's Ryanair. Not Ryan Air.

        I flew back with them yesterday, flight was grand, on time... no hassle, in fact I slept the whole way.

        For cheapass short haul flights, they are fine.
