Perhaps we can use the feature list covered by "scope creep" as ammunition/justification for phase 2.

You're not very "agile" are you chubs?

That's it, job done, invoice is on your desk.
    +1

Budgets will always appear if the client needs something they haven't got, have any cash and you've given them something that WORKS and someone is using.

The bottom line is you create a tool that makes someone's live easier or gives them something they want and then people start asking for their bug bears to be sorted. You don't try and fix everything in the first phase.

Agile means little and often. It also means very different things to everyone.

Just had the first of many workshops to define business scenarios to "test" the requirements.

Lots of new requirements coming out. It's scary to think that they have already spent 2 years doing requirements gathering, and after all of that and the workshops I ran there are still significant gaps.

All of my work defining the development sprints and requirements prioritisation has been well received by the project sponsor (who I have now got back on side after a coffee with him this morning) - so yes eek I do listen, eventually.

By prioritising the requirements and delivering something that they want in phase 1, then the stuff that drops out will be parked for phase 2 and hopefully after a successful phase one then more budget will become available. The key thing is to live up to the original business benefits that were stated when the budget was originally secured. So, you see Churchill - I do listen, eventually.

@Freemon : What planet are you on?

@Everyone else : Yes I am still banging on about this

Have you tried pulling your eyelids down and blowing your nose?

Ah, those would be the workshops that weren't workshops, were one to one sessions, apart from the ones that were workshops. Got it now.
