Loath Macs, but give the guy his due he built an awesome company.
Fond memories of writing my A level projects in Cobol on Apple 2's with 4 floppy drives linked up.
56 though, that is scarey, only 11 more years for me.
RIP.Never has a man been heard to say on his death bed that he wishes he'd spent more time in the office.Comment

I liked Steve, I like it when a tech company has a technical leader. Amazing communicator who really understood the art of selling backed up with a strong product range.Comment

Like this comment on the Times
3 Apples changed the World, 1st one seduced Eve, 2nd fell on Newton and the 3rd was offered to the World half bitten by Steve Jobs."Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience". Mark TwainComment

I was never a fan of the product though I recognise the tech.
Very few men change the World. Jobs was one of those few.Just saying like.
where there's chaos, there's cash !
I could agree with you, but then we would both be wrong!

Currently number one tech company in the world, ahead of IBM and Microsoft. Not bad considering the position Apple was in little over 10 years ago.Feist - 1234. One camera, one take, no editing. Superb. How they did it

When I first became interested in computers the Apple II+ and IIe where the most popular for schools back then. I thought the Mac was cool but never really did any serious programming on it - well except for that compiler I wrote way back in Uni.
Since then I haven't touched an Apple computer. Neither do I own a iPod, iPad or iPhone, I just can't find a reason to own one. Apple has gone from a computer company to a gadgets company that sell computers on the side. If Jobs hadn't of done that, Apple would probably no longer be around.
I'll always remember those photos of Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak in BYTE magazine - that's how I'll remember Steve Jobs - as an early innovator.McCoy: "Medical men are trained in logic."
Spock: "Trained? Judging from you, I would have guessed it was trial and error."Comment
