I think the religions of the world need to adapt to modern life and society. In the days when they were first founded life was a lot simpler and the lack of distraction and stuff to think about it made it a lot easier for people to find spiritual happiness and meaning.
Now there is so much going on that people try to get their happiness from money/material things, celebrity obsession, sport teams etc.
When people think of religions now they only think of the 'supernatural' element that was a lot more believable thousands of years ago. For me I think of the messages and how they can help me attain true happiness without any attachment to anything impermanent. That's what the likes of Jesus/Buddha/Krishna were teaching - how to reach enlightenment and the highest state of happiness/peace whoever you are, regardless of your situation.
How that has been interpreted down the line and what has been done throughout history in the name of said religions has little to do with the original message.
Just my opinions"Is someone you don't like allowed to say something you don't like? If that is the case then we have free speech."- Elon MuskComment
