No action on 2 'web tickets' after 48 hrs, but then comes director Rob Crossland's latest "Parasol update" on 3-May acknowledging that "Email currently remains the best communication method, closely followed by web tickets".

So I sent an e-mail to Member Support and got a reply in 40 minutes. So things are looking up and look like they're getting back to normal.

I think Rob is being straight with us, although his communications could have been more frequent.

        give em a chance

at least they haven't given up and are still trying hard to get back to normal. it's not like they want to be in this situation. and no, i don't work there.

I got paid today through BACS after being notified of the transfer on wednesday, which I thought was pretty good.

I also got a response to a web ticket from 28th April. However I did send it normal priority, and wasn't in a hurry for a response.

Things don't appear that bad. I'd agree with the previous comments about giving them a chance to get things back to normal.

I used them as a case-study in an ITIL Foundation course I was teaching this week.

Guess what processes we were working through?

Would that be the common sense process?

They would have failed so many ITIL processes I would have to list the lot. I suspect they were actually using (fr)Agile which has non-existant release and configuration management processes and a communication procedure that seems to always end in a blame culture. You may have guessed that I will never again work on Agile projects as a Release and Config Manager.

Everything from introducing Erlang C calculations for the Service Desk (where's a good SDA when you need one - or two, no better make it three...) to Service Continuity (#where do I begiiinnnn....#).

Cojak, is ITIL training your full-time gig ? Got the foundation sorted which has opened up a few doors but need to push onto the manager cert to get through the next ceiling/tap into the SDM contract market (350-450/day) Right now that is a lot to me. Will have to pay for it myself though, any recommendations (north west england preferably) ? Are there any boot camps where you need to reach a certain level through distance learning then crack in for a weeks slog then exams ?
                      TIA
