Low maintenance sports/luxury cars?

None! I just love them. Had one, sold it, bought something else, missed it, bought another one .... times six.

Went something like R33 GTR, Porsche 911, another R33 GTR, Honda NSX, R32 GTR (Big Power), TVR Tuscan 2, R33 GTR, Mitsubishi Evo, R34 GTR, 800hp Supra and another R33 GTR (if my memory serves me correct!

If the OP wants a low maintenance number isn't this a totally avoid list?? A TVR???

I am here and I would most definately recommend this. I had the same quandry and spent weeks deliberating and picked the 350Z. Not one second of regret. V6 engine, good exhaust that sounds the danglies, none of this Boxter quiteness rubbish.

Engine built like a tank, you can bolt on a turbo kit without changing anything or degrading the life of the engine boosting you from 308 bhp to 450+. You can put a twin turbo on but you will need to look after the engine.

Don't they weigh as much as a tank and generally handle like a tank too?

(I agree with the namby pamby styling of the S2000 even though I own one).

(I agree with the namby pamby styling of the S2000 even though I own one).

It is quite heavy, but heated leather seats and aircon and stereo with 6+ speakers will do that. Also as it was build to a price point steel is used in places where Audi or Porsche use aluminium.

It handles very well though. Very flat in corners and is it very well balanced so on approaching the edge you will get slight understeer but you can change that with the throttle. It is very exploitable and great fun close to the edge of grip.

They certainly are and mine is the roadster so even heavier with the extra bracing making up for the lack of roof but it certainly doesn't seem to make much difference at my driving level. The ESP kicks in more times than I care to mention when I am giving it the berries and everyone I have ever given a lift to has complained acceleration is too harsh so it still delivers.

Excellent car with a lot of power but I just couldn't get past the cheap plastic interior.

I'm 6' 6" and dont fit in most, I've stopped trying...

Can't say I'm dissapointed with my 5 series or E class but would really love the performance of something smaller and more sporty!!!

That's why it was 26k and not 35.

I used to have a Civic Type-R which had a fantastic engine and gearbox but absolutely everything else was a compromise, 17k new for that type of performance was pretty good value though.

I used to own an R8, you'd fit comfortably in that.
