threats from ebay buyer

A solicitor would charge ten times that and he would loose you the voucher and your money then say that he’s done a wonderful job."A people that elect corrupt politicians, imposters, thieves and traitors are not victims, but accomplices," George Orwell -
I don't see the problem; it's a 2-for-1 voucher and he has a brother. Sorted.Comment

Ah. He has a brother. The way it was originally written I assumed he had threatened you saying 'he was a brother'.Originally posted by wobbegong View PostI don't see the problem; it's a 2-for-1 voucher and he has a brother. Sorted.

Someone mentioned already, but this is one of the oldest scams in the book when it comes to ebay.
they beg you to do the deal offline, then try and screw you over.
So do they have your address? will they be able to find you in the phone book? watch out for any address fishing calls in the near future!Comment

That's where you went wrong. If they want it badly enough, they'll wait till the auction ends. I would never end an auction early no matter how much begging was done.Originally posted by diesel View Posthow could he prove that to ebay? imeananyone then could make a complaint to any seller to just try and get them suspended.
been thinking if this guy still keeps on hassling me how to pay him back . Dont really want to meet him in person since his talk of his brother etc. Will give it a few more days to see how serious he is.
To be honest i have done nowt wrong and suspect he is just trying it on and probably used the voucher and thinks he can get his money. I really dont know why the idiot offered to take if ebay sale when it was only listed for 3days, i did ask him to wait till end of auction but he was adamant for me to end the sale and deal with him privately
I'd tell him to do one and if he doesn't, tell him you will contact the police yourself.Bazza gets caught

Well I'm going against the grain here. I actually understand this bloke, he thought it was for 1 booking so he bought it, he then finds out it isn't. If I were him I would also be p****ed off and try to get my money back, why not he wasn't what he thought, and effectively he's thrown away £50. Personally I would give him his money back and auction again, but next time I would not do the private thing. I would do it out of good will and "peace man". Lets face it he doesn't live far away!I'm alright JackComment

I agree with you. It is also the sort of item AtW would buy and complain about.Originally posted by BlasterBates View PostWell I'm going against the grain here. The issue here, and the reason I think it is a scam is that the voucher number may now have been used, and the OP has no way to verify this.Originally posted by BlasterBates View PostWell I'm going against the grain here. If it was a physical item and in some way damaged, then I'd be more forgiving in my assesmentComment
