You're right about the food being equally rubbish but that's a different issue.

Funny that. I just spent a week in the UK and I'm amazed how cheap everything is. Meal at a decent Indian restaurant - 120CHF for five people, including three hungry teenagers. A comfortable pair of shoes for less than 130CHF. Best was cod and chips for 6.50CHF in Folkestone.

Even the diesel was cheaper than at home.

Yeah but you were using a proper currency and Pooper Scooter was using a debased one.

Its not just the screaming children, the decor in PE seems to be specially designed to make the screaming sound even louder. Hard floors, walls, chairs and tables, not a single bit of soft furnishing (i.e. everything is wipe clean) to absorb the noise

Apart from that PE have lost their edge, as brands eventually do

Have to agree, went to one in teh city last week and the food isn't as good as it used to be. (Thankfully this one doesn't get screaming kids).

Not necessarily it depends on the place.

Some child friendly restaurants are designed for the brats to run around having had to suffer them in the past. The food is normally disgusting.

Other child friendly restaurants i.e. independent Italians tell the parents that it's not allowed, and if the child continues they have to leave. Very few argue as it's one of the only times Health and Safety is used in it's right context - after all noone wants to see a child get burnt by hot food or drink landing on them due to getting in the way of the waiting staff.
