When I had this a month ago, I gave them Osama Bin Ladins NI number as a laugh. A couple of days later the Seals blew on my head gasket, and bits of the compound went everywhere

Depends on where in the process you are. If you've got the gig wrapped up subject to compliance checks, they may need it.
If you're getting a Scottish Disclosure done (and it doesn't just apply to jobs in Scotland, most banks use them now), then they will need your NI number for that. Likewise some of the other criminal conviction checks that they do.When freedom comes along, don't PISH in the water supply.....Comment
