The same. I also have created the 'Blue Chip (London)' company as my other current company."I can put any old tat in my sig, put quotes around it and attribute to someone of whom I've heard, to make it sound true."

Yes, it is the same.Originally posted by realityhack View PostNor - is that the same as hiding my connections from others or is there a further level of privacy I've not found?
To be honest ever since I hid my connections I don't get hassled and generally the only people I get contacted by are agents that I have spoken to regarding roles.
I also find it easier to post that I'm looking for work in my status and agents then contact me anyway.
If someone contacts me that i do not wish to do business with, then I ignore it.Last edited by norrahe; 18 May 2011, 07:52.Comment

For the reasons mentioned in the web page linked to in the OP, i.e. you want people to read them and contact you, but you don't want to accept every person who does as a LinkedIn Contact.Originally posted by DodgyAgent View PostSo why do you post details of yourself if you don't want people to read them and contact you?Last edited by Ignis Fatuus; 18 May 2011, 08:09.Job motivation: how the powerful steal from the stupid.Comment

There used to be an issue with the LinkedIn LION members - people who would accept any invitation and willingly advertised the fact. The LinkedIn bods didn't like this as it broke the spirit of what LinkedIn was about. At some point they backed down and let them get on with it.Coffee's for closersComment
