The pictures were originally issued by Associated Press, they (AP) have now stated that the origin of the pictures are unknown.

Pics are false.

Someone on ARRSE says the pictures are of a Bin Laden lookalike who was killed in 2009.

edit: The initial BBC coverage was ridiculously sympathetic to bin Laden, although they've toned it down a bit now.
