I've never 'used' porn and frankly don't really understand why people need to.
However the sex trade is responsible for an awful lot of abuse and misery in the world and pornography is a big part in that.
How do you know that the people you are looking at on the internet are totally willing participants and are being payed well for what they are doing?

Ah ha - let's solve 2 problems in one solution:

everyone goes around naked the whole time => no children making clothes in sweatshops
plus, everyone gets to see loads of nakedness all the time => no need for pron thereby saving the exploited!

But is that true, or is that just an idea spread by the moral majority? The sex trade is completely different as that's organised crime getting involved in supplying a demand for something that is illegal. Whereas porn is legal, and big business, and it's hard to see how such a big business would be tolerated if the majority were all being forced against their will, or blackmailed, or desperately doing anything to feed their heroin habit.

There's a parallel with the likes of us. Some would say we're exploited by employers looking to abuse us and deny us our employee rights, and some would say the life of a contractor is pretty miserable - lots of commuting, no paid holiday, no security, getting the crapest seat in the office, etc. etc. Whereas we say "wahayy look at my wad!".

It may be naive to think there aren't abuses, but equally I think it's naive to think there aren't people who do this perfectly willingly and are happy to put up with what may be a miserable job for the cash, just like we do.
