If my mobile company gives me an upgrade phone worth about £300, what's to stop me selling it on ebay? Do they still own it even though they've "given" it to me? Or do I own it?

Nothing, however as part of that upgrade you'll be signed into a contract for x months. You leaving that contract early will result in you having to pay a substantial sum to cover them for their loss.Originally posted by Moose423956 View PostIf my mobile company gives me an upgrade phone worth about £300, what's to stop me selling it on ebay? Don't know about the ownership bit but a lot of people do this - they upgrade and sell the upgraded phone and keep on using their old phone.Comment

One thing you should be aware of lots of new mobiles are now locked to the network it's on. So if you sell it on ebay make sure you put what network it's locked to. (Off course you can pay for it to be unlocked in lots of cases.....)"You’re just a bad memory who doesn’t know when to go away" JRComment
