If my mobile company gives me an upgrade phone worth about £300, what's to stop me selling it on ebay? Do they still own it even though they've "given" it to me? Or do I own it?
i've done this a couple of times. don't use my personal phone much so its on a 17 quid a month or whatever contract, the new handset often fetches 200 quid+ = freeeee phone.....
One thing you should be aware of lots of new mobiles are now locked to the network it's on. So if you sell it on ebay make sure you put what network it's locked to. (Off course you can pay for it to be unlocked in lots of cases.....)

Nothing, however as part of that upgrade you'll be signed into a contract for x months. You leaving that contract early will result in you having to pay a substantial sum to cover them for their loss.
