Day out in London...

WHS. I did that last year just from Westminster (so you can first look at Parliament) then got off at the Tower (I get complimentary tickets to go inside lucky enough.) The commentary was a good laugh and very interesting and the weather was excellent. Then walk up from the Tower to the Monument (great cab drivers cafe there) and then through to St. Pauls. Get a daily bus ticket and from St. Pauls you can get a bus to most places, I stopped off at the British Museum which is very interesting but the Science Museum is the top one for me (there is a toy museum hidden nearby as well which is not as well publicised.)“Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.” -
It'd be very interesting to hear some 'out there' ideas - having lived in London for a while, the places I enjoyed the most were not the obvious ones - having a swim in Hampstead Heath Lido, for example, butterfly exhibition at Kew Gardens etcComment

^ Yeah I agree, Kew Gardens is really good as its less touristy. I love it! How about catching a gig at Camden's KOKO or going to the London Film Museum? Seeing a play or a musical is a typical thing to do in London, but I never get bored of doing this as there's so many shows to see! I recently saw Wizard of Oz London which was SO good. I've loved the show since a kid so it was great to see it brought to life like that!Comment

Hi,
you can take the Thames Clipper boat from Embankment up to The O2 which is quite nice on a late sunny afternoon
