Have a look in the "around town" section of Time Out magazine/website for the day you're coming. At any given time in London there's usually some kind of interesting festival going on somewhere.

Tonight, f'rinstance, fireworks from the BT tower at 6:30!
    woooh! aahhhh!

Yes I just settled down in London in January and The Memorial to Heroic Self Sacrifice is one of the first places Ive been on my little tourist tour after St paul's an Mme Tussauds...I loved it

If someone goes to London They can also check out the Proms 2011 "The World’s Greatest Classical Music Festival 15th July - 10th September" => BBC - Proms - 2011 Season Home

Im a big Theatre fan And London is definitely the Theatre Capital in Europe! Quite a few shows to see in West End Theatres: The Lion King, Blood Brothers, Wicked, Love never Dies, Legally Blonde, Wizard of Oz, Dreamboats, or the Phantom of the Opera....

Then to go out after some shopping in Westfield or Oxford Circus you can relax in Leicester square and have a few drinks xx

Assuming you're a Northerner though, you could just show her the metal tubes that go under the ground and that electrickery thing. She'll be blown away by those.

Just get out of central London and into one of the "villages".
Given some of the advice in this thread, I'm not surprised some people dislike London.
Who would go out in the centre of London for example?

Londoners go to their locals/restaurants in areas like Putney, Richmond, BelleVue, Earlsfield, St Johns Street just to name a few of my favourite places
                Hard Brexit now!

Am keen to have a beer with you next time you're in Putney so we can jointly sneer at the poor and discuss what gadgets you have in your shed
