No issues with Cox's delivery and I liked his obvious enthusiasm but ten minutes of real information spread out over an hour and half the world... -
Now you tell us. I didn't realise Sir Patrick Moore was housebound now, very sad, he was looking rather portly at the beginning of the edited version.Originally posted by zeitghostHow odd.
The extended edition of the 700th Sky at Night was a good deal more interesting than the edited version that went out on Sunday night.
They seemed to have chopped out all the good bits from the shorter version.Comment

And Einstein.Originally posted by zeitghostEr, I think it was mentioned on Monday.
It's repeated on Tuesday evenings on BBC4 these days.
And he doesn't look (or sound) very well at all.
Amazing to think that he met Orville Wright, Yuri Gagarin, and Neil Armstrong.Comment

I like him, he’s good PR for Physics especially when it encourages females into thinking about the subject.
Also He may one day reveal the secret to everlasting youth!
Put 10 physicists in a room, and all of them would have a good theory as to why they actually were somewhere else.Comment

Patrick who? Do you mean Gamesmaster? I'm only 40 years old.Originally posted by TimberWolf View PostNow you tell us. I didn't realise Sir Patrick Moore was housebound now, very sad, he was looking rather portly at the beginning of the edited version.
Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave JohnsonComment

You've hit the nail right on the head there.Originally posted by VectraMan View Postwouldn't have been so bad if the programme was interesting, but like all modern science documentaries it was aimed firmly at 5 year olds.
I can't bear to watch him because everything is so dumbed down, with recaps every 5 minutes...
"later in the show I'll be doing this.......... whereas earlier in the show I looked at that............ now though let's do this......"
and so on, thereby squeezing 30 minutes content into an hour

Okay, next person who says it was slow has to name the order elements are created.
I think it was to show dramatic footage of Brian walking away from an exploding building, as done in all films.Originally posted by zeitghostWhat did exploding a Brazillian prison have to do with anything?Comment
